Adventures of Kole

You never quite know what Mr. Kole is going to find to play with. The other day Kole and Ella were playing so nicely and I thought 'Wow, I am really getting a lot done!' I then went to check on them and Kole had emptied two of Ella's shelves of clothes and was then perched on top smiling away. I was so shocked at first that I took him down and scolded him. Then I realized how cute he looked so I set him back up to get a picture. He just looked at me like 'Mom I thought I wasn't supposed to be up here.'

Kole also discovered that our bottom rack of the dishwasher has wheels. He lifted the empty rack out by himself and then had fun rolling it around the kitchen. He also tried to get in and ride, but found that wasn't such a good idea with all the pokey prongs!

Sleeping with curlers in!

Ella has had a bit of a problem leaving her curlers in at night and falling asleep. Addi was doing it by this age, but she is a little more patient then Miss Ella. She finally accomplished this and here is her beautiful hair after we took them out!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

The last couple of weeks we have been getting ready for Christmas. The girls got to help make sugar cookies.

Addi had her Christmas concert at school. She loved it. I was trying to get a picture of her winking for one of their songs, but I couldn't get it. Although I got many other kids!!

We had our Moms and Tots Christmas Brunch this morning. Both Ella and Kole sat on Santa's lap!

Santa gave them each a gift. They enjoyed opening them and then playing with the material it was wrapped in. I think they almost enjoyed that more than the actually gift!

Thank goodness for a vacuum after this fun!!

Odds and Ends

I realized it had been just about a month since I have updated the blog. In my defense Mr. Koleson likes to touch the computer and did something to it. It is now at the repair man and I am pirating wireless off the neighbors as I am going through withdraw from not being online. These last few weeks we have dealt with lots of sickness at our house. We have all had one type of the flu which is not a fun thing. We have also survived me buying a different detergent and having four of us be allergic to it. We also had car issues and were down to own vehicle for five days. Trav and I were discussing why all these crazy things seem to happen to us and we just decided that hopefully they happen to everyone.
Tonight I took my first fall on the ice of the season. While carrying Kole out of Pizza Hut I slipped. Thankfully Kole didn't get hurt. My knee going to have a nice bruise, but hopefully nothing worse. There were some very nice people that helped me get the kids into the van and make sure I was alright.

First Snow of the Season

We woke up Saturday morning to lots of excitement. It started snowing in the night and continued most of the day. I would say we got at least 10 inches, but much of it started melting right away. The kids got outside to play in the snow. Daddy was just as excited as the girls. Kole didn't know what to think, but he is getting better. The hardest part for him is learning how to walk in his boots!

We made our first snowman of the season. It seems it was too top heavy because when we went back outside to play after naps he had fallen over.

The girls were not too discouraged however. We now have a mini snowman in our yard!!

Cowcat!

While driving home from church on Sunday we passed a field with cows out grazing. There was a cat in a edge of the field watching the cows. Addi spoke up right away and said "That must be a cowcat." Trav and I both asked her what she meant. She responded with "You know a cowcat. It's job is to guard the cows just like a sheepdog has the job of guarding the sheep!"

I have learned.....

never to leave a fully clothed little boy in the bathroom when running the water for a bath. I've learned this is what can happen if you do!
