New tractor for Grandpa.

Today (This was actually in July of 2015 and this story has been sitting as a draft since then, but I didn't want to just delete it.  It meant a lot to us on this day to share this tractor at Grandpa's grave site.)  we stopped by Grandpa Bruce's grave site to leave off a special tractor that we had found.  The tractor is Kole's favorite color and will spruce up Grandpa's grave!  This picture shows Ellason, Koleson, and I posing with Grandpa's new tractor!

Winter Sports

On Saturday Jan, 20 Ella played in Okoboji. She played three games, they won against Okoboji white. Overall on the day the Wolves went 1-2.  Ella is going to play in four tournaments. This was her second one. In the picture on the left, Ella is guarding her friend McKenna from church.

This year Koleson is going to play basketball at the Y. The school offers for kids 3rd through 6th grade to play basketball at halftime of a girls home game. Kole decided to just practice wrestling this year and not do any tournaments. So on Tuesday nights he goes over to Spirit Lake to wrestling practice.

In the video on the left I'm at my third basketball game. I'm jumping against a player from Southwest Star Concept. The week of the fifteenth I had three games. On Tuesday we played CCE, on Thursday we played Okoboji, and on Friday we played Southwest Star Concept.

Gingerbread Houses 2017

On December 16 we made gingerbread houses! My house is on the bottom left corner.

Ellason's house is on the bottom right corner and Addi's house is on the bottom left corner.

We used skittles, gummy worms and trees, candy lights and holly, gum drops, sweet tart Christmas trees and balls, candy canes, red hots, fondant, and sprinkles.

Every year we make gingerbread houses! I really really enjoy making gingerbread houses! I also like eating the candy.

Recap of 2015

I realize this post is old, but it was finished just not posted.  So better late than never.

Wow, where has the time gone.  Our last posts were from a year ago.  Well we can't go back in time to write all of those memories, but we can recap some of them.  So here is our attempt at a recap!

Koleson enjoyed playing three sports so far this year.  He tried wrestling and soccer for the first time and he played t-ball again this summer.  He enjoyed all three and was very aggressive. It was a great way for him to get some of his  energy out.

Addison's softball team went 15-5-1.  They won the softball league championship⚾️  First base is her favorite position to play, she also played quite a bit of right field.   Her batting average was .444!  She is already looking forward to playing next year in the older division.

Trav and the kids worked on painting and building a train track on a 4x8 sheet of plywood.  Lots of fun was had and the kids got a taste of how much time some of these little projects can take.  Here is a picture of the end result.  Months later the kids are still driving the train around.

Christmas Concerts

This past week was a busy one for school concerts.  Addi had her concert on Monday night.  She sang in the middle school choir.  She is in the back row.

Addi also played piano and clarinet in the band.  This is Addi playing Chopsticks at Christmas at the Wednesday afternoon performance the previous week.

Ella and Kole had their concert on Thursday night.

We really enjoyed watching all three kids perform.

Crumbs

As I am walking out of the kitchen I see a whole bunch of crumbs on the floor, so I say to Koleson, "It looks like you might've spilled."  He deesn't respond or even look he just walks over to the fridge and grabs the dustpan.  As he starts to sweep up the mess he says, "Crackers are hard to drink!"
